Zaion announces the acquisition of Dydu and strengthens its position as a leading player in agent-based AI dedicated to customer relations
Paris, March 17, 2026 – Zaion, a French specialist in agent-based AI applied to customer relations, announces the acquisition of Dydu, a French pioneer in conversational agents. The merger of these two recognized players, whose development has been rooted from the outset in technological expertise and autonomy, enables Zaion to expand its multichannel platform and enhance its appeal to large enterprises seeking high-performance, independent, and secure solutions.
Zaion has a vision: to industrialize agent-based AI for customer relations in order to simultaneously improve operational efficiency and the quality of the customer experience. AI agents analyze conversations in real time, automate standard requests, and focus human intervention on the most complex situations.
This acquisition marks a pivotal milestone in Zaion’s trajectory, as it extends its platform to all conversational channels and confirms its ambition to establish itself as a European leader in agent-based AI. Dydu’s teams are joining Zaion’s to form a collective of approximately 100 experts dedicated to the development and deployment of sovereign solutions.
A pivotal milestone in Zaion’s journey
The integration of Dydu enables Zaion to accelerate its growth, both in terms of product development and sales, notably through:
- reaching a major milestone with a combined ARR exceeding €10 million, a key threshold for a technology-intensive B2B platform
- the cross-selling of both entities’ solutions to their respective customer bases, and the offering of a one-stop shop for agent-based AI in Customer Relations;
- product and go-to-market synergies aimed at accelerating large-scale deployments.
Zaion aims to achieve profitability by summer 2026.
Led by 115K, La Banque Postale’s venture capital fund, this acquisition also benefits from the support of Zaion’s existing investors. Together, they reaffirm their confidence in the strategic vision driven by management and share the ambition to establish a leading technology player in the agent-based AI market.
Technological synergy driving a multichannel platform
The acquisition of Dydu brings together two complementary technological areas of expertise: Zaion’s long-standing leadership in voice channels and critical environments, and Dydu’s recognized expertise in text-based agents and no-code design.
This synergy now enables us to offer a unified platform covering all customer relationship channels—telephony, web, mobile, and messaging—within a coherent and scalable architecture, suitable for large-scale deployments.
Following this transaction, more than 100 large enterprises will have access to this unified platform.
A hybrid and industrial approach to AI
In a landscape where many players emphasize the raw power of language models, Zaion holds a firm conviction: performance stems first and foremost from orchestration—the coordination of multiple AI agents and specialized models, deployed according to the task—to achieve the optimal balance between operational efficiency, quality of experience, cost control, and sovereignty objectives.
Zaion thus combines, as needed, specialized NLU/ASR components, optimized lightweight models (SLMs), and language models (LLMs) where relevant. Based in France and independent in its technology choices, the company offers secure solutions tailored to the most heavily regulated environments and meeting the expectations of large enterprises regarding data control.
Beyond deployment, Zaion positions itself as an industry leader and ensures the continuous improvement of models and the adaptation of workflows based on measured performance, thanks to an expert integration team and an in-house AI Lab—with a constant goal: to automate without dehumanizing, focusing human intervention on situations with the highest added value.
Franz Fodéré, Founder and CEO of Zaion:
“The acquisition of Dydu marks a decisive step in our strategy. It allows us to reach a major milestone by offering a truly multi-channel agent-based AI platform that meets the standards of large enterprises. By combining our expertise, we strengthen our ability to support large organizations in the industrialization of agent-based AI, with stringent requirements for security, compliance, and sovereignty. Our approach remains guided by a conviction: to automate without dehumanizing, by placing people at the heart of the transformation of Customer Relations.”
Amaury Lelong, CEO of Zaion:
“Driven by the rise of agent-based AI and sovereignty concerns, the market expects solutions designed and operated in Europe, covering the widest range of use cases and leveraging a broad spectrum of technological building blocks, without compromising on performance, security, and efficiency. The merger between Zaion and Dydu meets this expectation by combining technological depth with industrialization capabilities. »
Mathieu Changeat, Co-Founder of Dydu:
“This merger is a tremendous opportunity to create immediate synergies. By integrating the innovations from the Zaion Lab into our product, we will greatly expand its capabilities while upholding our fundamental commitments to sovereignty and digital efficiency . The combination of our technologies significantly broadens the scope of possibilities for our respective projects. Finally, the merger of our teams forms an expanded collective, equipped with highly complementary skills, to provide excellent support to all of our clients.”
